What awaits you in the training?

Our headquarters is located right in the middle of Dortmund's Kaiserviertel. This is where you will mainly receive your training and get to know our diversity and interesting tasks. In addition, you will learn all the important content through vocational school classes as well as within our company.

Occupational profiles

In our house, two different degrees are offered, which we will briefly present to you below:

Insurance and Financial Investment Specialist (m/f/d):

Robert Schumann Vocational College
- block instruction
Practical training phases usually last for two to six months in one department.
We train apprentices in the insurance field.
Insurance and financial investment specialists work for us in our internal service department, but can also be deployed in interesting and attractive fields of employment in external sales.
Advise private and commercial clients on insurance and financial products.
Serve as a direct contact person for services, tariffs, and contracts.
Are familiar with new customer acquisition.

Dual study program in insurance management:

Training as a Kaufmann/Kauffrau for Insurance and Financial Investments & Bachelor of Science in Insurance Management
FH Dortmund
- Mondays & Tuesdays all day
Vocational Training Center of the Insurance Industry (BWV)
- merger of several German insurers
- Seminar events from Wednesday to Friday (distributed throughout the semester)
Practical training phase in several departments for approximately six months each

General information about the training program

Working hours

At the LEUE & NILL Group, a trust-based working hours model is used. For you, this means that you can organize your working hours yourself within a certain framework. You have the opportunity to work eight hours between 6:45 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Generally, you will have a 40-hour work week, which corresponds to a daily working time of eight hours. You are also entitled to a lunch break (30 mins).

Duration of training

The training as an insurance and financial investment clerk usually takes three years. If your grades are correspondingly good, there is the opportunity to shorten the training to two and a half years.

Compensation

The LEUE & NILL Group pays you the collectively agreed monthly salary:

1st year of apprenticeship: €1,455 gross
2nd year of apprenticeship: €1,532 gross
3rd year of apprenticeship: €1,620 gross

In addition to your training allowance, you will also receive:
Holiday pay
Christmas bonus
Maximum amount of employer-provided savings benefits

Vacation

Of course, you are also entitled to vacation. At LEUE & NILL, you are granted 30 vacation days per year. You can schedule these relatively freely, of course in consultation with your respective trainer and our training manager. Furthermore, you are entitled to special leave, for example when you move.

Continuing education

Bachelor Professional in Insurance and Financial Investment

After the training, there is the possibility of further education. This decision is left up to you. The course Bachelor Professional in Insurance and Finance typically takes two years and concludes with an IHK examination. The advanced training is part-time while working. This means that you study alongside your job. Usually two days a week.

Business Administrator

With the further training Bachelor Professional in Insurance and Finance you have already laid a very solid foundation for becoming a certified insurance business administrator and Bachelor of Insurance Management. This qualification enables you to attain middle to senior management positions.

Part-time master's degree program

After completing your dual study program with a Bachelor of Arts, you have the opportunity to pursue a Master's degree. This is completed on a part-time basis while working. This path is suitable for very high-performing trainees and promises a career with personnel responsibility and management tasks.
