Short introduction: Who are you? How old are you? What do you do at LEUE & NILL?
Hello, my name is Sude Özcinar, I'm 18 years old and I started my dual study program at LEUE & NILL in August.
What did you think of the first two days at LEUE & NILL?
The first two days at LEUE & NILL were very pleasant and enjoyable. Not only did we get to know each other and play team-building games, but we also received lots of welcome gifts, which were just a small part of the great time. Overall, I felt very comfortable and welcome and look back on the first two days with fond memories.
From signing the contract to today, how did you find the process?
The process from signing the contract to the start of training was smooth and uncomplicated. We had the opportunity to gain interesting insights very early on and get to know each other as trainees. The atmosphere was always informal, which meant that I always looked forward to meetings and the summer party with great anticipation.
One event that made me very happy even before I started my apprenticeship was an anti-stress package for my A-levels.
But even beyond that, you really had the feeling of being part of the team early on, which is really nice.
What else do you expect from Starter Week?
I'll be surprised by the rest of Starter Week. Nevertheless, I can well imagine that we will learn even more about the different departments. Perhaps there will also be team-building activities and other training sessions on the program. It will certainly be very cool!
What have you liked best about Starter Week so far?
What I liked best was that we've been able to spend so much time with the other LuNAs so far. This has not only brought us closer together, but has also been a lot of fun. We were able to get to know each other in peace and master tasks together.
Why did you decide to do your apprenticeship at LEUE & NILL?
Before I graduated from high school, I spent a long time thinking about what I wanted to do afterwards.
While looking for different courses of study, I came across the dual study program here at LEUE & NILL. I received a very warm and open welcome at my interview and immediately felt very comfortable. The atmosphere here is very pleasant and the relationship with the training managers Marco and Simon, as well as the trainees and dual students, is very relaxed. I quickly realized that I could imagine a future here and was ultimately very happy to accept the offer.
What do you find special about LEUE & NILL?
I find the family atmosphere here at LEUE & NILL really remarkable. You quickly realized that this is a family business that places great value on good cooperation and a lot of support. The relationship with the training managers Marco and Simon, as well as between the LuNAs, is very relaxed and pleasant, which makes you feel very comfortable straight away.
What was different about the application process compared to other companies?
My excitement was quickly relieved at the interview, as I was able to talk to the trainee Klara for the first time before the interview with my training manager Marco. It's worth mentioning that we were all on first-name terms with each other by email. That was another confirmation for me of how informal the atmosphere really is.
The interview was very pleasant. No difficult questions were asked, as you would normally expect in such a conversation. Instead, it was a time to chat, warm up and get to know each other.
Overall, you quickly realized that the focus is not on good academic performance, but on morals and humanity.
How did you come to want to do an apprenticeship as an insurance and financial investment specialist or a dual study program?
I found out about the dual study program here through a friend of mine who works at LEUE & NILL. After doing some research, my interest in the insurance industry was piqued.
In general, I opted for a dual study program in the insurance industry because it allows me to apply theoretical knowledge directly in practice. This combination also gave me the opportunity to grow personally and start my working life with a lot of knowledge.
What did you think of the company party?
It was great to be given the opportunity to attend the company party.
On the one hand, it was very exciting to meet many future colleagues in person. On the other hand, there were lots of activities, such as playing golf together, a delicious meal and lots of speeches, which I really enjoyed.
What are your expectations of the apprenticeship?
My expectations of the apprenticeship include learning a lot of new things and gaining a good insight into the insurance industry. I am full of anticipation and am looking forward to the time ahead.
It will certainly be an exciting and very instructive time!
