Suretyship insurance
The warranty insurance offers manufacturers and suppliers of new machinery and plants insurance coverage against damages for which they are responsible under the work, supply, and/or purchase contract.
Compensation is provided, among other things, for damage caused by
- design, casting or material defects;
- Manufacturing or design defect;
- Design, workshop, or assembly errors.
Insurance coverage begins following the erection-all-risks insurance upon acceptance of the insured item by the client and ends after the expiration of the insured warranty period.
Typical examples of damage
- Overheating of a steam generator due to a design flaw
- Nacelle collapse of a wind turbine due to a manufacturing defect
