Our Starter Weeks 2025 - The perfect start to life at LuNA

First impressions and new experiences

On August 1, the time had finally come for our Starter Weeks at LEUE & NILL to begin! Of course, we were all a little nervous when we met in the meeting room in the morning. But after the first games to get to know each other, the nervousness was gone. There was a lot of laughter, especially during "Taboo", and the atmosphere was great straight away. At lunchtime, we went to L'Osteria with the LuNAs from the higher years, where we had our first conversations over delicious food and immediately felt really welcome.

First impressions and new experiences

The next few days were all about arriving at the company and getting to know the most important basics. We set up our laptops, completed our first online training courses and learned a lot about data protection, IT and cyber security. Fortunately, IT was always quick to help if something didn't work straight away. We also found the tips from the experienced LuNAs particularly cool; they really helped us get off to a good start.

Team spirit and discovery tour

A real highlight was our company rally, where we explored all the buildings, solved small tasks and got to know lots of nice colleagues. This meant we knew straight away where our future departments were located. We were then introduced to the various LuNA projects. From social media to trade fairs & buddy to the homepage, everything was included. Each of us quickly found the right team and could immediately look forward to an exciting project.

Workshops, knowledge & lots of fun

In the second week, the focus was on our workshops and they were quite something! We started with the business etiquette workshop, where we learned how important a professional appearance is in everyday working life. From greetings and e-mail etiquette to outfit tips, everything was covered and of course there was plenty of fun too. The learning methods workshops followed on Tuesday, which gave us lots of helpful tips for vocational school and learning in general. It was especially nice that we played small games outside despite the heat and laughed a lot. In the evening, some of us went mini golfing together, which was a great end to the day! The following Wednesday had the motto "Fit for life". We were given more tips for the future and gave our own presentations, which we all really enjoyed. We also started with the Excel program, where we got to know the basics. On Thursday, we continued with Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Word. After the many exercises, we felt well prepared for the start in our departments and no one felt like they were being thrown in at the deep end.

A highlight at the end

At the end of the Starter Weeks, we all went to Phantasialand! Even the journey there was full of anticipation. Rollercoasters, adrenaline and lots of laughter awaited us on site. Of course, there was also plenty of time to eat, chat and make memories together. Tired but super happy, we arrived back in Dortmund in the evening - it was an all-round successful end to the trip!

Our conclusion

The Starter Weeks were the perfect introduction to working life at LEUE & NILL for us. We learned a lot, made new friends and had a lot of fun. Now we are looking forward to getting started in our departments.
