Trip to the Ivory Coast with our LuNA Ayyoub

What brought you to the Ivory Coast and how did it come about that you were allowed to go on this long journey as an apprentice?

The opportunity to take part in this trip arose when the trainee group asked about interest in a business trip to the Ivory Coast. I agreed and the necessary steps were then taken so that I could go on the trip.

What had to be considered and what did the preparation look like?

The preparation included both technical aspects such as familiarizing ourselves with the client's activities and the claim as well as organizational matters such as yellow fever vaccinations, visas, flight bookings, hotel reservations and transfers. Several team calls were also necessary for coordination purposes.

How long was the journey?

The trip lasted a total of three days.

What did you particularly like? What were your highlights?

The whole trip was a highlight. The discussions with the various people involved and the site visits were particularly exciting. The cultural aspect was also very enriching.

Conclusion:

The trip to Côte d'Ivoire exceeded my expectations. It not only gave me technical knowledge, but also valuable cultural and strategic insights.

This experience will always remain a highlight of my training.

I can only recommend other trainees to take such a business trip - it was an instructive and unforgettable time.
