What led you to the Ivory Coast and how did it come about that you were allowed to embark on this long journey as an apprentice?
The opportunity to take part in this trip arose when interest in a business trip to the Ivory Coast was polled within the apprentice group. I agreed, and the necessary steps were then taken to enable me to undertake the journey.
What needed to be considered and what did the preparation look like?
The preparation encompassed both technical aspects, such as familiarizing myself with the client's activities and the claim, and organizational matters such as yellow fever vaccination, visa, flight bookings, hotel reservations, and transfers. Several Teams calls for coordination were also necessary.
How long was the trip?
The trip lasted a total of three days.
What did you like the most? What were your highlights?
The entire trip was a highlight. The conversations with the various participants and the on-site visit were particularly exciting. The cultural aspect was also very enriching.
Conclusion:
The trip to the Ivory Coast exceeded my expectations. It not only provided me with technical knowledge, but also gave me valuable cultural and strategic insights.
This experience will always remain a highlight of my training.
I can only recommend that other trainees accept such a business trip – it was an educational and unforgettable time.
