My name is Greta Walter and I am 21 years old. I successfully completed my apprenticeship in January 2024 and have been working in the Industrial Property Insurance department since then.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did you come up with the idea of doing your apprenticeship at LEUE & NILL?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even before my A-levels, I worked as a student assistant at LEUE & NILL during the school holidays. I found the colleagues very nice and felt comfortable in the company. So I decided to start my apprenticeship after my A-levels.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did your work week go?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had part-time classes, which means I was at vocational school on Tuesday mornings and Wednesdays, and worked all day on Mondays, Tuesday afternoons, Thursdays, and Fridays.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you like looking back on your training at LEUE & NILL?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, I'd love to. Marco and Simon are a great training manager team, and I still get along very well with my fellow trainees to this day. During our training, we always had lunch together whenever we were in the office at the same time.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What caused you the most problems at the beginning of your training?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There weren't really any major problems because we were very well introduced and taken by the hand. However, I found making phone calls difficult at first because I was still a bit insecure at the time, as I didn't know much technically yet (nor could I have known). But that improved over time, especially through the experiences I gained during my training at LEUE & NILL.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A highlight moment in the training<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My first company party was definitely a highlight moment for me because I spoke with colleagues a lot outside of work and we all had a lot of fun in general.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funniest moment during my apprenticeship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were funny moments every now and then, but I can't recall one specific detail. Overall, though, as I said, there were many amusing moments.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did things go for you after your apprenticeship?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In March 2024, shortly after finishing my apprenticeship, I started the advanced training course to become a certified business specialist (Fachwirt). It takes 18 months, so I will (hopefully) have my certification next year in the autumn. After that, I will either go to university or do the advanced business graduate program (Betriebswirt). That hasn't been decided for sure yet.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Were your expectations met during the training? Or rather, what had you hoped for before the training?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mainly, I hoped to come out of my shell more, meaning to not be so shy anymore and to dare to approach people. That worked really well, especially due to the constant department changes, which meant that I kept meeting new colleagues and working with them.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you still have contact with your former fellow trainees? What was your relationship with the other trainees like in general?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, I am still in touch with my former trainee colleagues. We had and still have a good relationship; I am even doing the advanced vocational training (Fachwirt) together with one of my former fellow trainees.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How was your relationship with your training managers?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Very good and familiar. I could always go to Marco and Simon with personal problems that had nothing to do with work or training. I was always helped.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you like the atmosphere in our company?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good, especially in my department I find the atmosphere great because we all get along super well. I appreciate that a lot.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did you find the apprenticeship stressful, or did you feel stressed during your apprenticeship?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No, the training itself wasn't stressful at all. The time shortly before and during my final exams was stressful, but that's always the case.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
